Prejudice

Prejudice is something I have known since 5th grade, from social studies class, when were learning about the Irish people moving into America. The Irish were discriminated by the Americans, because the Americans thought that they didn't fit in or they were totally a whole different group because of their religion and they were from a different country. They were pre-judging them by just looking at what they were, maybe the religion wasn't but still they didn't really get to know them and as soon as they saw them they didn't like them. The word Prejudice came from the word Pre-jugding, thats what I read in a book called "The 7habits of highly affective teenagers." After that I continuosly learned about prejudice even in my health class in sixth grade. Prejudice usually is always a negative case, because even when you judge people by how they look. People could pre-judge you by saying you're a really good basketball player by just making one shot in, and actually you're not even close to good. So it is always good to judge people when you're are really confident that you believe of that person is true. That's why there have been racism during the mid 1900's, black people have been discriminated just because of their color, and Jews in the holocaust were pre-judged by the Nazi's just because of what they thought of them was wrong, but they weren't really sure of that mostly they didn't care there wasn't a good reason of killing them. Now a days prejudice has reduced to a minimum but still there are little issues behind the scenes like when you go to a new school and they make fun of how you look or what you do.
